Maybe you are one of those people who are stuck to the sheets in the morning, but I’m sorry to tell you that although there are nocturnal biorhythms and the other morning, getting up early is good.
Experts and many studies say so. I’m not here to tell you to get up at 5 a.m. to do yoga and organize your schedule, which if you do, great! I come to tell you that whatever time you get up, do it with energy, with good energy. And you can and yes, it depends on you dear.
Missing routines… Missing energy
I don’t want to repeat myself on the subject of COVID-19 and all that we have lived and are living, but it is inevitable. It has changed our lives a lot.
But as always and as in everything, some more than others.
Is teleworking cool? Well, it depends, maybe for you it’s a great plan because you like to be at home or because you can combine your work to spend more time with your family, but maybe you don’t like it so much. Maybe you liked to get up in the morning, get dressed to look good, put on your make-up, get dressed up and meet your colleagues in the cafeteria around the corner from the office for a drink, you would go in with laughter, you would take the almost obligatory breaks between meetings, lunch in a cup, except on Fridays when everyone went out to eat!… Shall I go on? Of course, those days, those plans were also very cool and sometimes getting up to stay all day alone at home makes you feel lazy.
But I have good news, you can have a day with full energy. Of course, you will need to make a little effort. But if you follow it to the letter, you’ll see that you can.
An interesting day ahead
It may seem obvious, but to start the day with enthusiasm and energy we must get up knowing that we have a great day ahead of us. If not, why else would we get up with enthusiasm?
For your day to start more than well you must prepare the day before.
Let’s see what aspects you should consider.
Separate or divide the day into blocks, making it obvious which time is for work and which time is for leisure.
Choose in detail the leisure that you are going to carry out the following day.
To avoid that each day seems like groundhog day, define leisure and tasks for specific days. For example: Monday cooking, Tuesday and Thursday, sports, Wednesday cleaning.
Don’t forget to choose your looks for work and home time.
A perfect day
I’m going to share some possible routines.
8:00 to 9:00 the alarm clock rings;
Choose a tone that motivates you. If you take supplements or vitamins that need to be taken on an empty stomach, take them as soon as possible. Then shower. If you wear a bathrobe, have breakfast in it, if you prefer, get dressed.
Make yourself breakfast. Avoid pastries and fast food. Make yourself a sandwich with hummus and salad, a fruit juice, pancakes, bread with tomato and cheese, whatever you like.
Dress in the look you have prepared the day before, a work look. It doesn’t matter if no one comes to see you or if they come to see you from the waist up, dress up. Put on your make-up, make-up and wash your face. I advise you to choose this beautiful stamp with your initial. It will give you strength every time you see it.
9:00 a 10:00
if you haven’t had your tea or coffee yet, it’s time to have it. Choose relaxing music and grab your planner. Review your day so that everything is well organized and scheduled. You can open your computer so that it is charging, and you can prepare the cup (choose it well) that will accompany you in the workday with some infusion.
10:00 to 14:00, let’s get to work!
If you have a specific 15-minute break, take it! Turn down the computer light, go to the bathroom, wash your hands, freshen up, perfume yourself again and have a quick snack such as some nuts or fruit. If you have a few minutes left, go out to the balcony or terrace if you have one; if you don’t, go down to the street, even if it’s just to walk around the block.
14:00 to 15:00 time for you.
If you work a split day, it is of vital importance that you use this hour for yourself. You can cook and eat very quietly and relaxed enjoying every bite or leave the food half prepared the night before and eat faster, so you can exercise, make a virtual call, watch a series, …
If you are going to exercise, change clothes and take a quick shower to return to work refreshed.
15:00 19:00 back to work!
The afternoon workday is sometimes denser than in the morning. For this, try to have 5 minutes to breathe calmly, prepare a drink that provides energy and a good snack such as an ounce of dark chocolate.
19:00 to 20:00 Time for you.
Enjoy it! Take off your work clothes, put your stamp in your jewelry box and if you feel like doing some exercise, it’s a good time. You can also take the opportunity to do some errands, shopping, tidy up the house, bake a cake for breakfast or snack.
20:00 to 21:00 night routines.
You must have a good routine to rest well. Wash your facial skin well, moisturize it, apply a serum or mask. A hot shower is perfect to relax, then choose a soft pajama. Make yourself an appetizing dinner, but digestive as a purée, an omelet, a salad, grilled chicken, … Have dinner and relax reading a good book. It can be a book or e-book to continue your education.
You will still have some time until bedtime to do something you want to do, but do not go to bed too late.
You can adapt this example to any type of workday, the important thing is always to be organized and leave time for every need.
