Happy Thursday friends, I’m happy to be here on another Thursday to chat with you and share little things.
Don’t think that I have started to study dead languages, I have nothing against Latin, on the contrary, but I had enough with the “rosa rosae”. What happens is that this Latin quote comes to my finger to talk to you about today’s topic.
And the fact is that little is said about the mind, or not as much as we should. We talk a lot about beauty, which is great, about sports, which is vital, but… What about our head? There reside and harbor our emotions, impulses, desires, fears, … It is enough, isn’t it?
Reaching your mind is easy
Although it has always seemed that it was a difficult task, apparently it is not so difficult. Recent studies show that we do not need medical machines to approach it, it is much simpler to do so. As simple and as difficult as treating yourself well.
And I say difficult because it is hard for us, even for some part of the population it is even slightly frowned upon to love oneself with capital letters.
And I don’t know about you, but I have proven it. We are our own worst saboteurs. Instead of telling ourselves every morning how good we are, that we can achieve whatever we set our minds to and that we are unique as individuals, we tend to throw all kinds of little pearls at ourselves like: “others do it better”, “I won’t make it”, “that’s not for me”….
The good thing about all this is that it is in our hands to change it.
Love yourself more, feel healthy
I’m sure you’ve read and heard it a thousand times, but it’s useful. Every morning look at yourself and say with confidence, “I can do it, I’m going to have a great day!
Give yourself time for yourself every day. But really and realistically. If you know you’re not going to have an hour every day for yourself, give yourself 15 minutes, or 5. Whatever it is, but every day. It’s no good to go all week sticking your tongue out and wishing for Sunday to come and get that bit of time. Write down your appointment with yourself in your Google calendar or in your agenda as if it were a vital appointment, because it is! Doing this daily has double benefits. On the one hand, the time you spend with yourself and on the other hand all this time you invest in yourself, makes you know yourself better, know who you are, what you want and what you don’t want. And that will help you in your day-to-day decision-making.
Try to do some exercise. And you can see that I say try because maybe you are of that 50% of people who were not endowed with passion and love for the gym. There are those who enjoy working out and there are those who just enjoy the whole new outfit phase, the end. But still do it. I recently read a quote that I loved. “For every hour of training, another hour of mobility” Approach it as an investment in your body, in health. Like going to the doctor.
Enjoy giving yourself away. And I say enjoy because sometimes when we treat ourselves, we do it with slight guilt. And we shouldn’t. By the way, I digress to make a great suggestion of self gift and is that from tomorrow until the 10th we have a mega promotion.
